III4250Early You're Ivy on a lane. Learn to suffer in peace without inflicting damage upon yourself. Secure as much as you can, try to keep your Guardian alive. Tie on a lane is a win.
Mid Drive-by farm neutrals. Build up your Kudzu items as soon as possible. Only exception is filling up slots for value, if you think it's useful. Rush Escalating Exposure if you find yourself with a sudden 6k influx. Make sure you're present and bombing in teamfights.
Late Once you have your Kudzu built up, get guns. Your items have a huge amount of secondary resists. Coupled with Escalating Resilience it's likely you will become the tankiest person in the game. Ivy has the best scaling pin-point accurate gun damage in the whole game. Exploit it by dishing near carry-tier damage with a relatively small investment.
