You don't have to buy active items if you dont know how to use them or are not comfortable using them.
Ability Order:
Siphon Life for early game enemy repellant (or if they choose to fight you then free hp and damage yay)
Shoulder Bash is guaranteed damage and a way to cancel enemy channelables*. This is also the Ability you want to level the fastest for extreme bursts of damage.
And finally Infernal Resilience for health regen.
The idea is to rush shoulder bash to deal as much close range dmg as possible. Then go ult for CC immunity.
