Thankfully, Ivy has no problem growing vine after vine with this build. Throw a lot of Kudzu which does a lot of damage and slowing. Then jump in with Stone Form and blitz with bullets.
More gun power here and optional Stone Form cooldown improvement also help survive when people hate you from throwing brambles all over them and swarm you.
Went with a lot of barriers to make up for lower health. Might be better than armors?
